Chattanooga Police Department joins Law Enforcement Week 2025 to honor fallen officers during the Road to Hope ride
Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department is participating in Law Enforcement Week 2025 by taking part in the annual Law Enforcement United Inc. Road to Hope ride. While officers and survivors have already been cycling for a full week, today officially marks the start of Law Enforcement Week.
The riders, including members of the Chattanooga Police Department, are facing the tough challenge of the 100+ mile route to Gainesville, VA. Today’s ride included steep climbs, putting the “tough” in the event’s theme “Tough Ride.” Despite the physical challenges, the riders are motivated by their purpose—to honor fallen officers and support their surviving families.
The team will soon be joined by fellow riders from other areas, including those cycling through Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. They will all converge in Washington, D.C. for a special ceremony at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. This ceremony will honor the fallen officers and provide an opportunity for survivors to connect and share stories.
The Road to Hope ride is an annual event that helps raise awareness and pays tribute to the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers across the country. This year, it’s not just about cycling; it’s about community, remembrance, and ensuring the sacrifices of officers are never forgotten.
The Chattanooga Police Department’s participation reflects their ongoing commitment to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, while also supporting the families left behind. The ride is an emotional and physically demanding journey, but it’s one that is undertaken with deep respect and purpose.
