Chattanooga police engage with students at Chattanooga State Job Fair, showcase CPD Explorers Program
Chattanooga, TN – According to the police officials, Sgt. Davenport recently had the pleasure of interacting with middle and high school students at a job fair hosted by Chattanooga State Community College.
During the event, he provided valuable insights into the rewarding field of law enforcement and spotlighted the Chattanooga Police Department’s (CPD) Explorers program.
The CPD Explorers program, conducted in partnership with the Boy Scouts of America, offers a FREE opportunity for young men and women aged 13-21 to explore various aspects of law enforcement.
Participants gain hands-on experience through training, ride-alongs, and interactive sessions, acquiring essential skills and knowledge. Many explorers use this experience as a springboard to successful careers in law enforcement.
For those interested in joining or learning more about the program, additional information is available here.
The CPD is excited by the enthusiasm shown by the next generation and looks forward to welcoming future leaders into the CPD family.
