Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga City Council has confirmed Chief Terry Knowles as the 22nd Fire Chief of the Chattanooga Fire Department.
The vote took place during Tuesday night’s council meeting, officially elevating Knowles to lead the department moving forward.
Chief Knowles expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and said he is honored to step into the role.
He was joined at the meeting by members of the command staff, administrative staff, and fellow firefighters who came to show their support.
Department officials said they look forward to Chief Knowles guiding the agency into the future and continuing its commitment to public safety and service.
