Chattanooga, TN – A 44-year-old man was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound Saturday evening in Chattanooga, according to police.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3700 block of Youngstown Road at approximately 6:15 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the man deceased at the scene.
The Chattanooga Police Department’s Homicide Unit launched an investigation, while the Crime Scene Unit processed the area for evidence.
An investigator from the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office also responded and transported the victim’s body for further examination.
Authorities stated that the investigation is ongoing, and the details of the case may change as more information becomes available.
