Tennessee – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) has revealed the winning photographs for its 2025–26 Tennessee Wildlife magazine photo contest. A total of 14 images were selected from a record number of submissions and will be featured in the magazine’s popular annual calendar issue, beginning in August.

The contest invited photographers to capture the beauty of Tennessee’s native wildlife, fishing and hunting scenes, and natural landscapes. TWRA staff, tasked with the challenge of reviewing hundreds of entries, selected images that best reflect the agency’s mission to promote conservation and appreciation of the state’s natural heritage.

The photographers whose work will be featured in the upcoming calendar include Lisa Byrd of Rutherford County, Donna Bourdon of Decatur, Peggy GeFellers of Greeneville, Bill Gelsleichter of Crossville, Phillip Grubb of Mascot, Mark Harriman of Germantown, Timothy Loyd of Sumner County, John Mack of Ithaca, New York, Rick McCulley of Rockwood, Becky Ross McRae of Bartlett, Sue Mitchell of Lenoir City, Michael Pachis of Memphis, Houston Reasonover of Lebanon, and Frank Snyder of Athens.

Though only a limited number of photos were chosen for the calendar, TWRA will retain many of the other submissions for possible use in future agency publications and on its website.

The staff of Tennessee Wildlife congratulates the winning photographers and encourages others to keep shooting and sharing their best work. Information about next year’s contest, including rules and deadlines, will be shared in future issues of the magazine and on the TWRA website.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is responsible for conserving and managing the state’s fish and wildlife resources, as well as promoting safety and education through outdoor and enforcement programs.
