Woman and her elderly mother were shot to death by her spouse just one week after she filed for divorce against the man
Phoenix, AZ – According to the police officials, the 60-year-old husband, later identified as Robbert, was taken into custody and later charged with premeditated first-degree murder, aggravated assault and other charges after he reportedly killed his 53-year-old wife, Marcla, and her mom, later identified as 77-year-old Tea. Both victims were found with apparent gunshot wounds. The older woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the suspect’s wife was still consciouses.
According to the police officials, the 53-year-old woman was able to tell the responding officers that her husband shot both her and her mom. During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the victim filled for dlvorce against the suspect just days before she was shot to death. The fatal incident occurred on Tuesday at the victim’s apartment.
The 53-year-old woman reportedly moved in with her mom after filing for divorce. The 911 caller told the dispatcher that they heard loud noise and went to check upstairs. When the witness came to the door, the suspect reportedly told them to lie down on the ground or they will be shot. The witness also told the dispatcher that the shooter was wearing all black and had gloves on. The unidentified witness also told investigators that when the suspect entered the victim’s apartment, they were able to go back downstairs and call 911.
When officers arrived on scene, the realized that the apartment’s door was open. When they entered the apartment, they reportedly both victims suffering from severe gunshot wounds. The older woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her daughter was able to tell the responding officers that her husband was the one who shot both her and her mom. She was rushed to the hospital, where doctors later pronounced her dead. Officers quickly found and took the husband into custody. The 60-year-old man reportedly said that ‘he was under the effects of the prescribed sleep medication,’ L&C reported.
