Woman visited her friend for the weekend only to kill one of her babies and leave the other with serious injuries
Los Angeles, CA – According to the police officials, the 29-year-old woman, later identified as NicoIe, was arrested and later charged with multiple charges, including: murder, child endangerment and aggravated assault after authorities say she killed her friend’s baby and injured the baby’s sibling. Police officials said that woman reportedly killed the child while she was taking care of the baby and when the baby’s parents went to the hospital to take the baby’s sibling.
During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the woman crushed the baby’s scull. The 1-month-old baby, Leon, was rushed to the hospital where doctors discovered that the newborn suffered several fractures on his scuII. According to the police officials, the 29-year-old suspect visited the her friend in Pennsylvania for the weekend when the unfortunate incident occurred. Police officials also said that the woman reportedly injured the baby’s sibling.
The baby’s parents reportedly found bIood in the diaper of the victim’s baby brother. During an interview with investigators, the baby’s parents reportedly said that NicoIe was alone with their baby just before she told them about the injury. The parents then rushed the baby’s sibling to hospital and left their other baby with NicoIe. During an interview with investigators, the 29-year-old suspect reportedly said that the baby reportedly fell out of a bouncing high chair while she was out of the room.
The woman reportedly told investigators that she went to a different room to get a bottle for the baby but did not strap him into the chair. When she returned, she reportedly found the baby on the floor with a bump on his head. She then called 911 and said the child couldn’t breathe properly. The 1-month-old baby was rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The medical examiner told investigators that the injuries sustained by both siblings were sustained as a result of chiId abuse, and they are not natural and not accidental.
