Lane closures planned on Chapman Highway in Knox County for paving operations
Tennessee – Motorists traveling on Chapman Highway (US 441) in Knox County should prepare for temporary lane closures due to upcoming road construction activities.
Starting at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, crews will begin paving operations on northbound Chapman Highway between Highland View Drive and Hendron Chapel Road.
Lane closures will be in effect nightly from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. each day through Friday, August 1, weather permitting.
Drivers are advised to expect delays and to exercise extreme caution in the work zone, as crews will be actively working on the roadway.
Officials remind all motorists to use traffic information tools and check travel conditions before heading out. Additionally, drivers are urged to avoid distractions such as texting, tweeting, or talking on cell phones while driving to ensure safety for everyone on the road.
