Las Vegas, NV – According to the police officials, the 28-year-old suspect, later identified as Chrstian, was arrested and later charged with first-degree murder, chiId abuse and other charged after he reportedly killed 1-year-old Kay. Police officials claim the mother’s boyfriend reportedly beat the child to death.
The investigation began earlier this month after the 911 called told the dispatcher that 1-year-old boy was unresponsive. First responders reportedly found the boy and rushed him to the hospital. When the child was taken to the hospital, the hospital staff discovered that the victim was severely beaten. Per reports, the 1-year-old boy had bruises all over his body. The boy also suffered from severe braln bIeeds which were not accidental. The boy also had a broken Ieg, which was broken forcefully, the doctors told authorities.
During an interview with investigators, the mom’s boyfriend reportedly said that he was babysitting her girlfriend’s 1-year-old son and then called for help because the boy became unresponsive. He also told investigators that the boy was sick in the last several days. The boy’s mom, later identified as Tatiana, reportedly told investigators that the boy fell out of bed. The boy was placed on a ventilator and died 5 days later.
According to local news outlet, unidentified witness reportedly told investigators that the boy’s mom lied that her son fell out of bed to protect herself. The witness also told investigators that her 28-year-old boyfriend beat her son to death. He also persuaded her that the 1-year-old boy didn’t have to go to the hospital. During a follow-up interview with investigators, the baby’s mom reportedly said that her boyfriend was angry because her 1-year-old son wasn’t walking on his own and forcefully put his feet on the floor, resulting in the baby’s legs being broken. The mother also told investigators that her boyfriend shook her son forcefully at least once.
