Chattanooga Fire Department and Hamilton County partner for training exercises, controlled burns
Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Fire Department and the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management are teaming up this week to conduct training exercises designed to improve emergency response readiness.
From May 13 through May 16, 2025, the agencies will be conducting controlled burns off Claude Ramsey Parkway.
Residents in the area, particularly near the old ammunition plant, may notice intermittent smoke during the training period. Fire personnel will be present on site to manage the burns, and there is no need for the public to call 911.
These training exercises are part of a continuous effort to enhance the coordination and capabilities of emergency services in the region.
Chattanooga Fire and Hamilton County OEM frequently collaborate to ensure optimal preparedness and response in times of need.
