Chattanooga Fire Department responds to early morning fire on Swan Road

Chattanooga, TN – Early Thursday morning, Chattanooga Fire Department crews responded to a fire initially reported as an apartment fire but later identified as two 30×60 block and wood outbuildings fully engulfed in flames.
At 3:28 a.m. on December 19, 2024, Red Shift companies were dispatched to the 5000 block of Swan Road.
Firefighters quickly established a water supply and launched a defensive attack using two 2 ½-inch handlines. Once the blaze was under control, crews transitioned to 1 ¾-inch handlines to fully extinguish the fire.
Engine 6 took command, with Ladder 7, Squad 7, Engine 4, and Engine 8 providing the initial response.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
