Chattanooga, TN – Firefighter Thomas Clark of Ladder 5 Blue Shift was recognized for his exemplary service by the Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place during a ceremony honoring area first responders.
Fire Chief Terry Knowles nominated and introduced Clark, who received the “Semper Paratus” Award for his dedication to the Chattanooga Fire Department and his efforts to make the community safer.
“Firefighter Clark embodies service above self through consistent dedication, leadership, and heart,” said Chief Knowles.
“While working at one of our busiest fire stations, he also plays a vital role in training new firefighters, teaching critical skills, and overseeing the annual Chattanooga 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.
He’s extremely humble, but his impact is felt by everyone in the department.”
Other honorees included personnel from Hamilton County EMS, Hamilton County 911, and Tri-Community Fire Department.
