Chattanooga, TN – At approximately 1 a.m., Chattanooga firefighters responded to a residential fire at 6945 Hickory View Lane, where the reporting party advised that the garage was on fire.
Engine 8 (Blue Shift) arrived to find heavy fire and smoke in the garage spreading toward the home. Fire crews conducted an aggressive interior attack, quickly knocking down the flames and preventing further spread into the living areas.
A primary and secondary search by Ladder 7 and Engine 6 confirmed that all residents had safely evacuated.
The fire was brought under control within 45 minutes. While there was significant damage to the structure, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the affected residents.
Units that responded included E8, L7, S7, E6, E21, B2, B3, and 647, with additional support from HCEMS, EPB, and the Red Cross.
