Chattanooga police escort Run for the Wall riders through the city
Chattanooga, TN – Chattanooga Police Department motorcycle officers provided an escort for the annual Run for the Wall (RFTW) motorcade as it passed through the city on its journey to Washington, D.C. The RFTW is a ten-day cross-country motorcycle ride dedicated to honoring veterans, their families, and friends, while raising awareness for those still missing.
The 2025 ride began on May 14 in Ontario, California, and will conclude at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. The motorcade’s route includes a stop in Chattanooga, where local law enforcement agencies, including the CPD, assist in ensuring the riders’ safe passage through the city.
Run for the Wall is an annual event that brings together over 1,000 riders across three different routes, traveling from California to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C.
The ride aims to promote healing among all veterans and their families and friends, call for an accounting of all prisoners of war and those missing in action, honor the memory of those killed in action from all wars, and support military personnel all over the world.
The CPD expressed their honor in participating in the event, stating, “CPD Motorcycle Officers were honored to provide an escort for the annual Run for the Wall (RFTW) as the motorcade passed through Chattanooga.”
