Chattanooga, TN – Chattanooga police are investigating a shooting that left a 51-year-old man injured late Friday night in the 1700 block of Market Street.
According to the Chattanooga Police Department, officers responded to reports of a person shot at approximately 9:12 p.m. on January 31, 2026. Upon arrival, officers found the man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
He was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS.
Homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Unit responded to process the scene and conduct the investigation.
Preliminary information indicates the victim was leaving a nearby location when another vehicle pulled alongside him. After exiting his vehicle, the victim was shot.
