Child seriously injured after mom, who claims she didn’t believe she did anything wrong, was helped to restrain her son’s limbs before trying to tie him when he came off the chair and, while on the ground, was mauled by an animal
Cleveland, OH – According to the police officials, the parent, later identified as Angelima, was taken into custody and later charged with endangering children after she, her boyfriend and famiIy member tried to tie her child to a chair after restricting his arms and feet with cufffs. When the child fell to the ground after the unsuccessful attempt, he was bitten by the famiIy member’s pet. The mom’s partner, later identified as Taylor, and the boy’s uncIe, later identified as R0bert, were also taken into custody and later charged in connection with the incident.
The investigation process began last week after the 911 caller told the dispatcher about an injured 6-year-old child, who was not identified due to his age. The responding officers discovered that the boy suffered severed injuries to the neck and ear and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. The boy’s grandmother, who was not identified, says her grandson is expected to recover, despite the horrifying nature of the incident.
During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the child’s feet and arms were restrained using cuffs. The 3 adults then tried to tie the child to a chair. While attempting to tie the boy, he fell to the ground only to be attacked by his uncIe’s pet – plt buII. Authorities also discovered that the mother and her co-defendant’s did that as punishment after the boy failed to clean up after the pet. During an interview with investigators, the boy’s mom reportedly said that she ‘did not know it was iIIegal to hndcuff a child’.
The victim’s sibling was also present in the room when the incident occurred, but was not injured, police officials say. Authorities say the boy’s grandparent entered the room and realized that her grandson was being attacked by the pet. The woman also sustained injuries to her hands while trying to defend the little boy.
