CPD concluded three-year collaboration with the National Public Safety Partnership, a program operated by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance
Chattanooga, TN – According to the police officials, the Public Safety Partnership was reportedly designed to enhance collaboration and capacity among law enforcement, prosecutors, and community partners to improve public safety.
During the course of this partnership, the Chattanooga Police Department benefited significantly from PSP’s resources and expertise.
Through the program’s support, the department launched the Crime Gun Intelligence Center, refined its data analysis methods, and strengthened its collaborations with county and federal prosecutors.
Additionally, the partnership helped expand the department’s community outreach efforts through collaboration with the Office of Community Health.
As the program came to an end, the Chattanooga Police Department expressed pride in the progress made during the partnership and gratitude for the role PSP played in advancing their mission.
The insights provided by PSP are expected to continue supporting law enforcement agencies across the nation.
