Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating an incident that took place at the Primrose School of East Brainerd on January 8.
The investigation began after a video surfaced showing a caregiver’s actions toward a child at the daycare.
On January 24, the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services contacted Chattanooga police to file a report regarding the incident. The department’s Special Victims Unit is leading the investigation.
Preliminary findings indicate that a child was lying on a cot while a caregiver patted their back. At one point in the video, the caregiver appeared to push the child’s head down toward the cot.
Primrose School of East Brainerd previously issued a statement on the matter.
