Chattanooga, TN – The cyclists and support teams participating in the Law Enforcement United Inc. Road to Hope event recently completed their grueling 800-mile journey, riding in honor of fallen officers across the country. The team arrived in Washington, D.C., where they paid tribute at the National Law Enforcement Memorial, a symbol of remembrance for those who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Team Chattanooga was among the participants, raising an impressive $17,000 of the more than $500,000 raised across all Road to Hope routes. These funds will go to benefit several organizations that support the families and survivors of fallen officers, including the Spirit of Blue Foundation, Officer Down Memorial Page, and Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.).

Each cyclist participating in the journey carried a flag bearing the name of a fallen officer. Upon arriving in Washington, D.C., they presented these flags to the surviving family members of the officers, providing an emotional and symbolic gesture to honor their loved ones’ sacrifice.

The dedication shown by Team Chattanooga and all the participants in the event highlights the enduring commitment to supporting the families and colleagues of fallen officers, ensuring their memories and legacies continue to be honored.

The event, which takes place annually, serves as a reminder of the sacrifices law enforcement officers make every day to protect and serve their communities. The funds raised during the Road to Hope event will help provide resources and support to the families of those who have lost loved ones in the line of duty.

In addition to honoring fallen officers, the event fosters a sense of camaraderie and unity within the law enforcement community and beyond. The Chattanooga Police Department, along with the families of the officers, expressed their gratitude for all those who contributed and supported the team throughout the year, making this endeavor a success.

The Road to Hope event serves as both a memorial and a way to continue supporting law enforcement and their families during their most difficult times, ensuring that the legacies of fallen officers are never forgotten.
