Firefighter promoted to senior rank with Chattanooga Fire Department, recognized for dedication

Chattanooga, TN – Davis Derkach of Engine 12 Red Shift has been promoted to senior firefighter with the Chattanooga Fire Department. He accepted his new rank on Wednesday, joined by his crew and members of the command staff.
Fire Chief Phil Hyman praised Derkach’s dedication and potential, highlighting his strong skill set and the respect he has earned within the department.
“This is just the start for you because you have a bright future,” Hyman said.
“You have a great skill set and everyone has a lot of respect for you. It’s great to see you step up to the plate, and I am looking forward to seeing you excel in any role you take on in this department.”
