Chattanooga, TN – Last week, a large tree fell on a home in Chattanooga, causing significant damage but no injuries. At approximately 2 p.m., Engine 4 Red Shift was dispatched to the 2000 block of Daisy Street off Dodson Avenue for a reported structural collapse with possible entrapment.
Firefighters found one resident in a bedroom and assisted them in exiting safely, gathering medications and personal belongings in the process. A quick search confirmed no one else was inside the home.
City building inspectors and EPB were called to the scene to assess the damage. The Chattanooga Fire Department credited the quick response and thorough search for ensuring the resident’s safety.
