Mom and dad claim son was told that he wasn’t allowed to touch their ‘medicine’ unless it was given directly to him before the boy overdosed from fentanyI!
Philadelphia, PENNSYLVANIA – According to the court documents, the 40-year-old mom, later identified as HoIIy, and the 41-year-old dad, later identified as Muosa, were taken into custody and later charged with multiple charges, including involuntary manslaughter and third-degree murder for their role in the death of their 8-year-old child Hunter.
Spokesperson for the DA’s office reportedly said that the 8-year-old overdosed on drugs after his parents left lethal fentanyl within their boy’s reach. The fatal incident occurred in July last year. First responders arrived on scene after the parents called 911 and told the dispatcher that a little boy was in cardiac arrest. They entered the residence and found the boy unresponsive. The boy’s face and lips were blue, prosecutors said.
Shortly after, the responding officers arrived on scene and saw many crystalline baggies on the room’s floor. The boy was rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. During the investigation process, authorities reportedly found several empty drug bags in the room where the boy was found unresponsive.
During an interview with investigators, the boy’s dad reportedly said that his 8-year-old son knew that he shouldn’t touch the baggies with drugs, because he and the boy’s mom called them ‘medicine’. The little boy wasn’t permitted to touch the drugs unless they gave it to him, the boy’s dad also said. The medical examiner told investigators that the boy had fentanyl and cocaine in his body when he died.
