Chattanooga, TN – Chattanooga police arrested a man less than 24 hours after he allegedly shot and kidnapped a victim in a domestic-related incident. The suspect faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and kidnapping.

On March 23, 2025, at approximately 4:12 a.m., Chattanooga police officers responded to a report of a shooting victim at the Chattanooga Fire Station on Bonny Oaks Drive. Firefighters were already providing medical aid when officers arrived, and Hamilton County EMS transported the victim to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators from the police department’s Special Victims Unit determined that the shooting occurred in the 4800 block of Tomahawk Trail. According to the victim, the suspect shot her before forcing her into his vehicle. She later escaped when the vehicle stopped near Bonny Oaks Drive, running to the fire station for help.

On March 24, 2025, a Chattanooga police officer responding to the 4800 block of Tomahawk Trail spotted the suspect, who attempted to flee in a stolen vehicle. A brief pursuit ended when the suspect crashed into trees on Tunnel Boulevard. He was taken into custody without injuries and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

The police department’s Traffic Unit processed the crash scene, and additional charges related to auto theft and evading arrest are expected. Authorities stated that the case remains under investigation, and further details may emerge.
