Chattanooga, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) has announced the launch of the Request for Applications (RFA) for the $50 million Rural Healthcare Resiliency Program. The initiative, funded through the TennCare Shared Savings Program and supported by Governor Bill Lee and the Tennessee legislature, aims to enhance healthcare access and services across 89 designated rural counties in the state.

This funding opportunity will support 15–25 projects designed to improve rural health outcomes. TDH is seeking applications focused on:
– Delivering integrated, high-quality prevention and health services.
– Investing in innovative care models to improve service access for rural populations.
– Addressing needs identified in County Health Assessments.
– Linking social services to health drivers.
– Expanding healthcare access for minority, rural, and underserved communities.

Governor Bill Lee emphasized the importance of community-led solutions, stating, “Investing in community-led solutions to address rural health challenges is a central priority for this Administration.”

Applications are due by January 24, 2025.
