The Chattanooga Area Veterans Council hosted a heartfelt “Remembrance Program for The Fallen Five” at the Tennessee Riverpark
Chattanooga, TN – According to the officials, this event commemorated the ninth anniversary of the tragic terrorist attack on July 16, 2015.
Gathered at The Wreath of Honor, attendees paid tribute to the four U.S. Marines and one U.S. Navy sailor who made the ultimate sacrifice on that fateful day.
Military personnel solemnly placed wreaths at the five pillars of the Wreath of Honor, a poignant symbol of their valor and sacrifice.
Distinguished speakers, including Mayor Kelly, County Mayor Wamp, Hamilton County Commission Chairman Eversole, and CAVC President Tommy Mitchell, delivered moving remarks.
Melissa Bayless beautifully performed the national anthem, and Captain Mickey McCamish, U.S. Navy (Retired), expertly emceed the program.
This ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the bravery and selflessness of our fallen heroes. The community of Chattanooga remains united in honoring their memory, ensuring their service and sacrifice are never forgotten. #NoogaStrong
