Chattanooga Police Department grants rare opportunity to experience SWAT training session up close to local man
Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department recently granted an individual a rare opportunity to experience a SWAT training session up close.
This followed a request made by Steven Hill, who had met the department’s Chief Chambers at a Miracle League of Chattanooga baseball game.
During their encounter, Hill expressed an interest in learning more about the operations of the police department, particularly in relation to the SWAT team.
Early this morning, Hill’s wish was fulfilled when Sergeant Patterson led him on a tour behind the scenes of a SWAT training session.
The experience included a close look at the department’s BearCat armored truck, a chance to try on SWAT gear, and the opportunity to witness the rigorous training the officers undergo.
Hill was visibly moved by the experience, expressing his gratitude through heartfelt hugs for everyone involved in making the event possible.
The department’s staff was happy to share their work with Hill, reinforcing the connection between the community and local law enforcement.
