The Chattanooga Police Department is hosting week-long Crisis Intervention training for law enforcement
Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department has been hosting a week-long Crisis Intervention class for its officers and those from nearby law enforcement agencies.
This training aims to equip officers with effective communication strategies, providing them with insight into the stressors that individuals in crisis might be experiencing and how to best interact with these individuals to restore calm and safety.
Throughout the week, participants have heard from various specialists and engaged in numerous practical exercises. The training is set to culminate in a graduation ceremony tomorrow.
Agencies participating in this class include the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, East Ridge Police Department, Cleveland TN Police Department, Soddy-Daisy Police Department, and the Chattanooga State Community College Police Department.
