Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department’s Homeless Engagement Team has partnered with Dr. Shannon Dawkins of Compassion Copper Canyon to offer free veterinary services to pets belonging to the city’s unhoused population.
The initiative aims to improve animal welfare and address public health by reducing the risk of rabies transmission and ensuring the general wellness of the animals.
The program also connects pet owners with resources for free spaying and neutering services, creating a sustainable path toward better care and safety for both the animals and the broader community.
