Clarksville, TN – According to the police officials, this unfortunate incident occurred right before 3 a.m. early Sunday morning.
The responding officers discovered that the vehicle struck a utility pole, causing it to fall and bringing down power lines, which led to the closure of Madison St. between Greenwood Ave. and 10th St.
CDE was notified and dispatched to repair the pole and remove the power lines from the roadway.
The driver appeared uninjured. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes, with the duration of the closure initially unknown.
The roadway has been reopened, police officials said.
