Clarksville, TN – According to the Clarksville Fire Rescue officials, Rescue 6, Engine 7, Squad 1, Special Ops Chief, and District 2 from the fire department responded to a call for stranded boaters in distress.
Two individuals were rescued from the West Fork River near Broadripple Drive after being pushed into a strainer (downed tree) by the fast current and high water levels.
The team deployed the Swiftwater raft, navigated to the stranded raft, and safely transported the boaters to safety.
