The fatal incident occurred in August this year. The child was cold to the touch and was not breathing. First responders rushed the boy to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead several days later. The child was declared brain dead after he died from cardiac arrest by head trauma.

The victim’s dad reportedly said that he didn’t know about his son’s bruises, but admitted that his partner was stressed and frustrated with the child when he came home from work.

Authorities said the woman never called 911 or seek medical help when she realized that her boyfriend’s child was not breathing. The woman reportedly told investigators that she searched how to help someone who passed out on her cellphone. Authorities also confirmed that the woman never showed up for a follow-up interview and her vehicle was seen in Indiana and then Arizona. The 30-year-old woman is being held without bond.
