18-year-old arrested, charged with aggravated assault following shooting on Paw Trail
Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department has arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred Monday evening, July 28, in the 4600 block of Paw Trail.
Officers responded to a report of a person shot at approximately 7:29 p.m. and found a 22-year-old male suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS for treatment.
The CPD Homicide Unit took the lead on the investigation, with assistance from the department’s Crime Scene Unit. According to police, a swift response from nearby officers and cooperation from residents helped lead to the identification of a suspect.
Jametrious Miller, born June 25, 2007, was located and interviewed by detectives. He has since been taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
Police emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing and that the charges are preliminary. Authorities urged anyone with information related to the case to contact the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.
