Chattanooga, TN – An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a March shooting in Chattanooga that left one person injured, according to the Chattanooga Police Department.

Cordai Miree was taken into custody on April 22, 2025, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service. His arrest follows a shooting that occurred on March 14 in the 4900 block of Central Avenue.

The case was the subject of a multi-unit investigation by CPD and was later presented to a Hamilton County Grand Jury on April 14, resulting in formal indictments.

Miree is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, and employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. After his arrest, he was transported to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.

Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing and the information released so far is preliminary. As in all criminal cases, Miree is presumed innocent unless and until he is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

The Chattanooga Police Department has not released further details about the motive or the condition of the victim, but officials say updates will be provided as the case progresses.
