Chattanooga ,TN – The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 29-year-old man dead early Sunday morning in the 3200 block of Brainerd Road.
Officers responded at 4:02 a.m. on August 17, 2025, to reports of a person shot. When they arrived, they found a 29-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported by Hamilton County EMS to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
According to investigators, the suspect approached the victim, shot him, and fled the area on foot. Detectives believe the incident was targeted.
The CPD Homicide Unit is leading the investigation, while the Crime Scene Unit processed evidence at the scene. Police emphasized that the information remains preliminary as the case continues.
