Ohio – An Ohio 9-year-oId and 10-year-oId chiIdren were charged with multiple serious offenses, including attempted murder, r-pe, feIonious assauIt, kidnapping, and stranguIation, following a brutaI assauIt on a 5-year-oId girI. The incident occurred last month, when the victim reportedly wandered away from a reIative’s home and was later found unconscious, bIoodied, and severely injured in a fieId. The charges against the juveniIes include four counts of r-pe, two counts of feIonious assauIt, attempted murder, stranguIation, and additional kidnapping charges.

The victim was hospitalized for about a week and continues to suffer from significant physical and psychological trauma. Her mother described the extent of injuries as severe and expressed shock over the violent and incomprehensible nature of the attack. Ohio authorities have confirmed that both suspects and the victim are under the age of ten, and the case is being investigated by the Se* Crimes and Child Abuse Unit. Due to the sensitive nature of the case, further commentary from police and prosecutors has been withheld.

The victim’s mother, Antavia, said she had dropped her 5-year-old chiId Marie at a relative’s house in Ohio. The child walked out of the home unnoticed and was approached by two older children who appeared friendly. They took her by the hand and led her to a field far from the house, where they assaulted her.

The attack included beating her until she was unconscious, ripping out her hair, holding her down for se-ual assault, shoving sticks down her throat, stripping her n-ked, and strangIing her with her shirt. After leaving her in the field, the children returned to playing nearby. A family member searching for the girl encountered the children, who denied seeing her. Eventually, the children returned with a parent to show where the girl was. The mother found her daughter being treated by EMS, with severe injuries including a partially scalped head, bruises and blood covering her body, blood in her eyes and mouth, and dirt under her nails.

According to the victim’s mom, after the assault, the children left her in the field and returned to play. A family member searching for the girl encountered two of the suspects, who denied seeing her. Later, those children returned with a parent to lead the family member to the girl’s location. The mother found her daughter being treated by EMS, with severe injuries including scaIp trauma, bruises and bIood covering her body, bIood in her eyes and mouth, a Iarge Iump on her head, debris under her fingernails, and trauma to her genital area.

The mother said her daughter has been deeply traumatized, showing behavioral changes and expressing suicidal thoughts, and she herself has struggled emotionally, seeking therapy for both of them. She expressed frustration with Ohio authorities, stating that due to the young ages of two of the suspects, they may not face charges despite the severity of the attack, and emphasized the need for justice and accountability.

As the legal proceedings move forward, the 9-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl face serious charges that carry significant penalties upon conviction. The outcome of this case will likely have implications for future child abuse investigations and prosecutions in the region. Ohio athorities continue to work diligently to ensure that justice is served and that the children affected by this incident receive the care and support they need to recover from their traumatic experiences.
