Los Angeles, CA – Police officials released a statement, saying that the 55-year-old man, later identified as E. Meddina, was arrested and later charged with multiple felonies, including kidnapping with intent to commit r-pe, communicating with a minor with intent to commit se* acts, arranging a meeting with a minor to commit se* acts and other charges after he reportedly pretended to be teen to meet 16-year-old girl.
During the investigation process, authorities discovered that the 35-year-old man reportedly began messaging with the 16-year-old girl, who was not identified due to her age, earlier this month. The man, who reportedly pretended to be teen, told the girl to meet near her home. When the much older man arrived at the destination, he reportedly told the girl to get inside his vehicle.
According to authorities, the man reportedly forced the child to get inside his vehicle before taking her to a private residence to lndecently and violently assault her. Shortly after assaulting the 16-year-old, the man drove her to an unknown location and released her. According to the court documents, the 35-year-old man was considered to have an “average risk” of committing a new se* crime after he was convicted in 2017 and placed on the se-ual offender list for life.
Back in 2017, prosecutors claimed the defendant attempted to meet with a minor to have se*. When authorities identified the 35-year-old man as a suspect in the case, they reportedly executed a search warrant and found chiId se-ual abusive material in his home. The 35-year-old defendant is being held on $4.8 million bon, court records say. This incident remains under investigation.
