Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department recently came together to spread some holiday cheer by packing over 250 bags full of presents for local children in need!
This effort was made possible through the Forgotten Child Fund, an initiative that has deep roots within CPD.
It was founded in 1962 by Officer Johnny Wright after he encountered two children on Christmas Day with only an apple and an orange.
This incredible program has ensured that no child goes forgotten during the holidays for more than 60 years.
Lieutenant Young now leads the fund, continuing the legacy Officer Wright began.
