Chattanooga, TN – The Tennessee Department of Revenue will offer a free webinar on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. Central time, tailored to new businesses in the state.
The webinar will provide an overview of state tax obligations and share resources to support business operations.
Topics include tax registration, sales and use tax, business tax, franchise and excise taxes, and guidance on utilizing state resources effectively.
The session, held quarterly, is designed to help new business owners navigate state requirements with confidence.
In the 2024 fiscal year, the Department of Revenue collected $22.2 billion in state taxes and fees and more than $4.7 billion in taxes and fees for local governments, accounting for approximately 87 percent of total state revenue.
