Tennessee – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is moving from paving to bridge repairs on a 4.1-mile stretch of I-240 in Memphis, from near Poplar Avenue (Exit 15) to Summer Avenue (Exit 12) at the I-40/I-240 interchange.

The repairs will occur over two weekends:

  • Friday, August 22, 7:00 p.m. – Monday, August 25, 6:00 a.m.: I-240 east will have two lanes closed and three lanes open, from just north of Walnut Grove (Exit 13) to I-40 East (Exit 12C).

  • Friday, September 5, 7:00 p.m. – Monday, September 8, 6:00 a.m.: I-240 east will have three lanes closed and two lanes open along the same stretch.

Access to I-40 east (Exit 12C) will be maintained throughout the work. The project is expected to be completed by November 30, 2025.
