Chattanooga, TN – Last week, the Chattanooga Police Department hosted officers from Knoxville, Topeka, Waco, Milwaukee, and Lansing for a peer exchange organized through the National Policing Institute and RTI International.
Visiting officers toured several of CPD’s nationally recognized programs and units, including the Gun Team, Victim Services Unit, Drone Unit, Real Time Intelligence Center, and the city’s Office of Public Safety.
Officials said the exchanges provide an opportunity to showcase CPD’s work while also learning from other cities’ practices.
These peer programs are designed to help improve public safety and enhance policing strategies across communities.
