Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Fire Department reported that a residence on Abelia Lane off Dayton Boulevard caught fire Saturday night, prompting a two-alarm response.

At 10:29 PM on February 28, 2026, 911 received multiple reports of flames coming from the home, and Blue Shift crews were dispatched.

Due to uncertainty about whether anyone remained inside, a second alarm was called to bring additional personnel.

Engine 22 reported heavy fire upon arrival and confirmed all occupants had safely evacuated. Firefighters conducted an interior attack and worked until the fire was fully extinguished.

Officials said the fire was accidental and caused significant damage to the structure, though no injuries occurred.

Responding units included Engine 22, Ladder 19, Squad 19, Engine 16, Engine 12, Engine 11, Ladder 6, Engine 1, Ladder 1, Squad 1, Engine 17, Battalion 1, Battalion 2, and Battalion 3.
