Chattanooga Fire Department assists Public Works crews during downtown sinkhole repairs
Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Fire Department’s Special Operations team assisted Chattanooga Public Works crews during repair efforts for a sinkhole in downtown.
Firefighters worked alongside Public Works personnel Friday during operations that required crews to enter a storm basin and remove a section of concrete that was restricting water flow.
The collaborative effort was aimed at improving drainage, supporting ongoing repairs, and preventing additional obstructions within the system.
The Chattanooga Fire Department highlighted the teamwork between agencies, saying the coordinated response helped keep the city’s infrastructure functioning safely.
