Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department welcomed its newest academy class, featuring 19 new hires and one lateral hire selected after a competitive hiring process.
CPD said the new cadets stood out among a large group of applicants seeking to join the department. Due to limited openings, only the top 7% of candidates were accepted into the class.
The department introduced the new cadets as they begin the rigorous training academy, where they will spend the coming months developing the skills and knowledge needed for a career in law enforcement.
CPD said it looks forward to watching the class progress through the academy and thanked the new recruits for their commitment to serving the Chattanooga community.
