Chattanooga, TN – According to the Chattanooga Police Department, this unfortunate incident occurred around 6:50 p.m. Tuesday.
It happened on Amnicola Highway.
Chattanooga Police Department officers responded to a report of a crash.
The responding officers discovered that the victim was trying to cross Amnicola Highway when he was struck by a vehicle.
Police said the 38-year-old victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
