Charleston, S.C. – According to the police officials, the 27-year-old educator, later identified as DyIan, was arrested and later charged with staIking after he reportedly staIked 11-year-old chiId by writing the girI more than 50 Iove Ietters, kept collection of pictures of the girl and gave the girl unwelcome hugs. The 27-year-old educators had been placed on leave after he was accused of lnappropriately comunicating with his former student.
During the investigation process, authorities reportedly discovered that the educator reportedly gave the 11-year-old child cards, photos and undesired hugs which made the chiId feel uncomfortable, the girl’s parents reportedly said. Authorities also said that when he realized that the girl would no longer be his student, he reportedly joined the same church her family was visiting.
During the investigation process, authorities also discovered that the teaccher’s desk was filled with the 11-year-old girl’s photos. The girl’s mom reportedly told authorities that she and her husband were afraid for their daughter’s safety and alarmed by the educator’s unrestricted access to their family. The mother also said that her 11-year-old daughter ‘has been handed Iove notes by an adult male countIess times.’ More than 50 Ietters were found since last month.
The mother reportedly said: “He attended my child’s functions outside of school. He started attending our church. I now realize that this access to my child had continued to grow his obsession.” The girl’s dad reportedly told authorities: “I cannot feel secure knowing that he is not going to put my family in danger.” The court ordered that the educator can’t have any contact with the victim or her family and his bond was set at $50,000. This incident remains under investigation.
