Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Division of Transportation announced that an all-way stop has been officially installed at the intersection of W 13th Street and Chestnut Street, effective Tuesday.

This change comes after the completion of a comprehensive traffic study and a review of feedback submitted by local residents and stakeholders.

The department stated that the decision was made to enhance traffic safety and improve conditions for both drivers and pedestrians in the area.

Officials are advising all motorists to exercise caution as they approach the intersection and adapt to the new traffic pattern. The Division emphasized the importance of slowing down, obeying all posted signage, and yielding the right of way when required.

The all-way stop is part of Chattanooga’s ongoing efforts to create safer, more efficient streets across the city. Additional traffic adjustments may follow pending future evaluations and community input.
