Chattanooga to host public meeting on E 14th Street neighborhood bikeway project
Chattanooga, TN – The City of Chattanooga Department of Public Works Transportation Division has announced an upcoming information session for residents and neighborhood stakeholders to learn more about the E 14th Street Neighborhood Bikeway Project.
The session will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the HPNA Building, located at 1714 Duncan Avenue.
The event will offer attendees an opportunity to engage directly with CDOT and City Planning staff, view finalized project plans, and ask questions about upcoming improvements designed to enhance safety and connectivity in the area.
Topics to be discussed include the scope and goals of the bikeway project, the implementation timeline, key construction activities, and safety features.
The project aims to improve bicycle infrastructure and increase connectivity between Downtown Chattanooga and the Dodds Avenue corridor. Some initial changes have already been observed along E 14th Street as part of the early phases of the project.
Funding for the bikeway improvements is supported in part by a grant from the Lyndhurst Foundation, which partners with the city to promote sustainable and community-centered transportation initiatives.
