Chattanooga, TN – The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating a robbery that led to a shooting in the 100 block of Scruggs Street late Monday night.

On November 3, 2025, at approximately 11 p.m., officers responded to reports of a person shot. Crime scene investigators processed the area, and robbery investigators went to a local hospital to interview the victim.

According to the preliminary investigation, the 37-year-old victim was picked up by a person known to him when an unknown male approached their vehicle, demanded money, and then shot the victim.

Both the suspect and the driver fled the area before police arrived. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
