Chattanooga, TN – Officers from the Chattanooga Police Department’s Baker South team recently spent time with residents of the Oak Grove neighborhood as part of the department’s ongoing Front Porch Lineup initiative. The gathering offered an opportunity for open conversation, community connection, and increased trust between law enforcement and the public.

“We’re grateful for the warm hospitality and conversations,” said a department representative. “These gatherings are a great way to build trust, answer questions, and improve communication between officers and community members.”

The Front Porch Lineup program brings officers out of patrol cars and into neighborhoods in a casual, approachable setting. Residents are encouraged to ask questions, express concerns, and get to know the officers serving their area.

Community members interested in hosting a Front Porch Lineup at their home or business can contact the Chattanooga Police Department by calling (423) 643-5000 and requesting their sector captain, or by submitting a message through the department’s contact form at this link.
