Chattanooga, TN – The City of Chattanooga Stormwater Management Division is excited to announce the return of its annual Rain Barrel Distribution Day on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 1001 E 12th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403.
This event provides an opportunity for Chattanooga residents to purchase a 50-gallon Ivy Rain Barrel at a subsidized price of just $75, which is nearly 50% off the retail price of $153.99.
The rain barrels help conserve water, reduce stormwater runoff, and can lower water bills by capturing and storing rainwater for future use.
As an added incentive, eligible participants can also receive a $50 rebate per barrel through the City’s RainSmart Rewards Program, further reducing the cost of the rain barrel. Property owners can purchase up to ten barrels per property and apply for rebates accordingly.
To qualify for the RainSmart Rewards rebate, residents must verify their eligibility and submit the required documentation. To confirm residency and review program requirements, residents can use the “Find Your Property” tool on the RainSmart Rewards website.
Please note that this rebate is only available to City of Chattanooga residents and does not extend to those living in satellite cities like East Ridge, Ridgeside, Red Bank, Ooltewah, Lookout Mountain, Signal Mountain, and Walden.
The deadline to place online orders for the rain barrels is Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
